Removing glue from metal
Adhesives have many uses for craft projects and many other projects, and it is essential to know how to remove them when they are accidentally spilled on metal surfaces or when we want to remove them from metal surfaces for any reason.
1-Using acetone
Acetone is the most popular solvent for removing adhesive from metal. Dip a cotton pad in acetone and keep it on the glue for 5-10 minutes. Once the glue loosens, scrape the glue off with a plastic file.
Instead of pure acetone, if you don’t have a plastic file or nail polish remover, use a razor or knife.
Be careful to do this slowly so as not to damage the metal surface.
Keep doing this until the glue is completely removed. Then use a clean cloth and soapy water to wash the metal.

Do not use acetone on painted metal surfaces, because it will cause the color of the surface to disappear.
2- Using WD-40
WD-40 is a lubricant that loosens strong adhesives. Spray WD-40 on the adhesive surface. Wait about 5 minutes for the WD-40 to dissolve the glue, then clean the surface with a cloth.
After the glue and its residues are completely removed, clean and dry the surface with soap and water to remove toxic chemicals and prevent rust.
3-Using hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is metal safe and will remove tough glue. Wipe off the metal and dried glue, then hold a cloth or cotton pad soaked in hydrogen peroxide over the glue until saturated.
When the glue loosens, wipe it off or use a file to remove large, remaining pieces. If necessary, repeat the hydrogen peroxide soak until all the glue is removed.
Once the glue is gone, use a cloth and soapy water to clean off the residue and any remaining chemicals.
Hydrogen peroxide has a high resistance to metals and is a good option for removing glue. 4- Use of alcohol

5-Using petroleum jelly
Petroleum jelly contains natural waxes and oils that soften the glue. Apply the jelly on the surface of the glue with your fingers and rub in circular motions to remove the glue from the metal surface. Once the glue is gone, clean the metal with soapy water and a cloth, or use a file to remove stubborn bits of glue.

6-Using vinegar
Vinegar is a natural and acidic alternative that is suitable for removing glue. After cleaning the surface, apply distilled white vinegar to the adhesive with a cotton pad. For this, let the vinegar stay on the glue for an hour.
After all the glue is gone, wash the metal with a clean cloth and soapy water.
7-Using a mixture of baking soda and oil
Use a mixture of baking soda and oil as a natural cleanser.
Combine equal amounts of baking soda and coconut oil in a bowl (the larger the glue spot, the more you need to use). Then apply the paste on the dried glue and leave it for 15 minutes. Remove the glue.
Then wash the metal with clean water and then dry it to prevent rust.
8-Using oil
To loosen the glue and remove it, you can use a variety of oils, such as cooking oils, such as olive oil. Put some oil in a clean cloth and keep it on the glue for a few minutes, then use a spatula or file to remove the glue residue.
9- Using sandpaper
Use fine sandpaper or a nail file on smooth metal surfaces. Be careful not to scratch or damage the metal surface.
10-Using warm water and soap
Use a solution of soap and water to remove small stains and adhesive residues.
